Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Myro is a registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. Myro earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and her graduate degree at Eastern Illinois University. She has worked with diverse populations of various ages in a multitude of different clinical settings. Myro offers an empathetic and non-judgemental counseling environment and believes in collaboratively working with her clients in order to achieve positive life changes. Myro primarily utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral therapy approach while integrating other therapeutic techniques based on the client's individual needs. She aims at helping clients change their negative thought patterns by increasing self-awareness and developing alternative ways of thinking. Myro believes in order to minimize negative self-talk and reach our maximum potential we must utilize our personal strengths. She thinks it is important to work in alliance with her clients to create healthy coping skills in order to create lasting positive life changes.
