Christine Rykiel is the owner and clinical director of Baltimore Washington Counseling Center (BWCC) in Maryland, as well as the Southwest Florida Counseling Center (SWFCC). Ms. Rykiel opened BWCC in 2007 with the goal of providing quality, affordable psychotherapy services that are focused on promoting client-center, goal oriented counseling that develops and enhances client strengths. After moving to Florida with her family, she decided to open a sister practice here in Florida, SWFCC.
Elisa Niles, LMHC
Elisa Niles is a FL Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She has over 12 years of experience in the counseling field. She has worked with diverse populations that cover the developmental life span. She hails from the Caribbean island of St. Thomas and has resided in Florida for the past 6 years. Her versatile background and skills set has prepared her to work with many issues that clients are faced with on a daily basis. As a therapist, she believes her role is to help her clients unlock the answers that lie within themselves.
Teresa Gonzalez-Kurzy, LMHC
Teresa Gonzalez-Kurzy is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has been serving Children, Adolescents, Adults and Families for the past 20 years. Teresa started her career with ACT Team working with SMPI adults and moved to serving Children as a Contract therapist working with DCF and Foster care System in Detroit, Michigan.
She has specialized in working with children and adolescents in therapy, assisting families with healthy interactions since 2007. Teresa completed her Masters Degree in Counseling and Bachelors Digression Family Life Education at Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan. Teresa is a member of the Southwest Florida Counseling Association and Licensed in Florida for Mental Health Counseling and Supervising MHC. She lives in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Tia Nagel, Director of Public Relations
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
As she has been in the mental health field for over 8 years, Tia enjoys working with Adolescents and Adults of all ages and has experience working with a broad range of issues to include addictions, anxiety, depression, and trauma just to name a few. She is also trained in Traumatic Incident Reduction. In addition to working directly with clients, Tia also focuses on building ties in the community by providing mental health resource information with members and businesses here in southwest Florida.
