Luann cusic, lmhc
LuAnn Cusic is a licensed mental health counselor earning her undergraduate degree at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and her graduate degree at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Before moving to Florida in 2014, LuAnn was a licensed therapist in Maryland and Delaware. She has worked in a variety of different settings that have included working with abused and neglected children and their families, working with families involved in the court system and embroiled in custody issues, and working with children in foster care. While working for the court she was certified as a mediator and worked with estranged parents in order to help them work out parenting plans on their own rather than go through the expensive and time-consuming court process. Through her contact with the court she has also worked with families dealing with substance abuse issues.
LuAnn has worked in private practice in Maryland, Delaware and Florida and her clients include children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. LuAnn has experience working with children and adults with anxiety-related disorders, mood disorders, PTSD and other trauma, (including sexual abuse), ADHD, OCD and addictive-type behaviors. She is solution-focused and uses evidenced-based therapeutic techniques with her clients. LuAnn is a strong advocate for eliminating the stigma associated with mental health issues and in promoting positive emotional as well as physical health.
