Danielle Bishop holds a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a masters in Psychology from Walden University, a bachelors in Pre-movement Therapy, and a bachelors in Forensic Psychology from Stockton University. Before moving to Florida in 2013, Danielle worked in partial care settings and as a crisis counselor in response to Hurricane Sandy. She has further experience in working in a hospital setting. Her theoretical orientation encompasses a psychodynamic approach that can be tailored according to each client's needs. It is important to consider all domains of a person’s life to fully understand what problems a client is facing, where their strengths lie and what is needed to fully regain, or for the first time attain, health and wellness in life. With an extensive background in dance, this has been an area she has been seeking to elaborate on as a form of therapy. She strives to empower clients to overcome personal obstacles to improve their overall well-being. This is done by creating a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which individuals can be supported in their efforts to change and grow.
